Windows 10 Is Coming, And We Think Microsoft May Have Gotten It Right This Time

So since we have been messing with the developer preview of Windows 10 for almost a month now, which you can get HERE if you want to try it . We have decided to go through and talk about some of the features that really sets this apart from Windows 7 and 8/8.1.

We get the Start menu back. After a few years of claiming that the Start screen was just as good for mouse-and-keyboard use as touchscreen use, Microsoft has finally buckled. Windows 10 will have a Start menu on the Desktop; the left side will look a lot like the standard Windows 7 Start menu, but the right side will have the option of being populated with live tiles more like Windows 8. The left side of the menu will adopt a new modern style look, but per what we have read you may be able to make it look more like Windows 7(havent tried it just yet)
Bringin on Virtual desktops. In Windows 10, you will have the option of using virtual desktops. Right now you just have one desktop per monitor — but with virtual desktops, you can switch between as many desktops as you like. This is a popular power user feature that has been present on some Linux window managers and third-party Windows tools for years — but now it’ll be available in Windows 10.
Find files faster: File Explorer now displays your recent files and frequently visited folders making for finding files you've worked on is easier.
New task view button: There's a new task-view button on the taskbar for quick switching between open files and quick access to any desktops you create.
Snap enhancements: You can now have four apps snapped on the same screen with a new quadrant layout. Windows will also show other apps and programs running for additional snapping and even make smart suggestions on filling available screen space with other open apps
